About Artist

Annette Natocho is primarily a watercolor artist with an affinity for capturing the ephemeral beauty of nature. Her watercolor paintings have a delicate rendering and interplay of light, color, and space. Natocho captures the beauty of the natural world, often focusing on serene woodland scenes, particulary birch trees and the vibrant hues of Autumn.

“ I love watercolor painting for it’s versatility, unpredictability and lightness that simplifies even the most complex subject.”

Using watercolors, Natocho evokes a quiet, contemplative space that invites the viewer to experience the ever-changing moments of the landscape.

Watercolor painting draws me into a meditative space where I can have a quiet conversation with my thoughts and ideas. I focus on inviting in the light, letting it breathe beautiful energy into the paintings.”

The artist occassionally explores the bold, semi-abstract world of acrylic painting. These compositions create a dynamic counterpoint to the more subtle, nature-focused watercolors. In contrast to the ethereal quality of her watercolor works, the acrylic paintings are vivid, full of energy, and rich in texture, offering a striking balance between softness and strength.

Whether working in watercolor or acrylic, Natocho’s paintings invite viewers to slow down, breathe and experience the fleeting moments of color and light that make up the world around us.
